ICE TUE, LE QUÉBEC PAIE: MANIFESTATION CONTRE GARDAWORLD ET CONTRE ICE

Le gouvernement du Québec a paié 300,000,000 $ en argent public à GardaWorld, une compagnie incorporée ici à Montréal. Son fondateur, Stephan Crétier, est un milliardaire avec 3,800,000,000 $, faisant de lui le 9e homme plus riche du Québec (selon un reportage de la Montreal Gazette).
Pourtant, GardaWorld a déjà fait 111,000,000 $ en profits de contrats avec ICE, la milice étatsunienne qui occupe présentement Minneapolis-Saint-Paul, qui assassine des civils en plein jour, et qui commet des crimes contre l’humanité contre les migrant·es situé·es aux États-Unis. Cette compagnie a même participé dans la construction du camp de concentration «Alligator Alcatraz», où des conditions de torture ont été évoquées par des migrant·es détenu·es.
Notre argent — l’argent que nous devons au gouvernement en impôts chaque année — est utilisé pour financer des crimes contre l’humanité. Et c’est de notre devoir à rejeter ce.
Le plan de cette manif? Commencer devant la Place Vertu, et marcher vers GardaWorld — une distance d’environ 1.7 km, pour ensuite revenir — pour dénoncer la complicité de nos entreprises locales dans le fascisme étatsunien.

ICE KILLS, QUEBEC PAYS: PROTEST AGAINST GARDAWORLD AND AGAINST ICE

The Quebec government has invested $300,000,000 in public money to GardaWorld, a company incorporated here in Montreal. Its founder, Stephan Crétier, is a billionaire worth $3,800,000,000, making him the ninth richest man in Quebec (according to a report in the Montreal Gazette).
However, GardaWorld has already made $111,000,000 in profits from contracts with ICE, the US militia currently occupying Minneapolis-Saint Paul, executing civilians in broad daylight and committing crimes against humanity against migrants in the United States. This company even participated in the construction of the “Alligator Alcatraz” concentration camp, whose conditions have been described by migrants as tantamount to torture.
Our money — the money we owe the government in taxes each year — is being used to fund crimes against humanity. It is our duty to reject this.
The plan for this protest? We will start in front of Place Vertu and march to GardaWorld (a distance of about 1.7 km) and then return— to denounce the complicity of our local businesses in American fascism.
