Health and Social Services Committee

The primary mandate of the Health and Social Services Committee is to continue and intensify the fight against government disengagement, chronic underfunding, and the privatization of the health and social services network. This ongoing struggle at the Conseil central takes many forms, including analyzing government policies, developing positions to preserve the public system, conducting awareness and information campaigns, and supporting the struggles of local unions as well as efforts to improve services to meet the population’s needs. The committee develops its strategies and actions in collaboration with allies from other union organizations, the community sector, and various coalitions such as the Coalition Solidarité Santé.
