Two-day training on December 1st (Room 1630) and December 2nd (Room 4050), from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at 1601 de Lorimier Avenue, Montreal.
The Union audit committee is responsible for reviewing the union’s financial records and informing members whether the income and expenses comply with the union’s bylaws and regulations, the decisions made by the general assembly, and the approved budgets. The committee must produce a written report once a year to confirm the compliance of the union’s books.
This training aims to help participants understand the treasury process and the respective responsibilities of the treasurer and the audit committee. It also encourages committee members to reflect on union financial practices in relation to the values of transparency and union democracy, and to develop the necessary skills to conduct audits and produce a report.
